tips for a first time at willard

You should be able to make it to the S/W corner OK in a car. Yes, you can camp at the state park and there are two at Willard, one at the north and south marina’s. As far as camping anywhere else around the lake, I’m not sure if they allow it. I did call the Willard bay state park and the
lady I talked to said no but she also said she was not a ranger, it is possible they might tell you a different story[:/].

Haha that looks like my kind of house boat!

Is the state park pass good for the red gate parking on the north dike?

If you are talking about that road that you drive on to get to the N/E corner by the outlet then yes, you can use your state parks pass to park there.

:sunglasses:Hey Curt, here’s a labeled map I put together for the North Marina area. That should be helpful for all the newbies who are planning their first assaults up there.

Thats funny right there i don’t care who you are!!!

get-r-done!

Thanks Pat, your the best, you are always coming up with helpful info. I’m going to save this on my computer for future reference.

no wh2 it doesnt look like that. its not quite that redneck. Well we took her out and my little bro caught one nice wiper while we were trollin and we had a few more bites but they got away. we left the north marina and headed north towards the dike, its only the second time out on the old girl and the first time with a fish finder so we were trying to figure that out, not a whole lot of luck but all in all it was pretty fun. And the nice part is that its only ten minutes from home. Its not like driving home from powell or something.

OK,…Thanks for the parking info…I have been parking there with my pass, and no one has ever said anything, but I wondered if that was part of the state park, or a separate area for weber basin.

A lot of people were hauling big bags of watercress out of there yesterday…NO FISH…But lots of watercress…WW.

I was just kidding you about the redneck house boat. Good to hear you got out there and broke in the pontoon boat with a wiper. Hopefully the new finder will help you catch more fish and being so close to Willard will give you plenty of chances to learn how to fish it. Do you have a GPS or a speed function on your fish finder? The reason I ask is because the speed you are going can effect your catching.
