I’m not at my best while cooking over the grill, I usually get caught up in the fun of the BBQ and toast the steaks. But it does sound good.
I even use my salsa to cook fish with, comes out saucey with a kick, yum yum. I’ll be bringing along a quart or three of the special recipe to the perch party for all to enjoy. And if you’re heading up there you can try it out with you dinner. I make two kinds: Tomatillo & Green tomatoe salsa, myybe I’ll make some jalapeno poppers too! Thats a thought! But I’ve never grilled them or tried to cook them up in a dutch oven…another experiment to try!!!
I’ll have to try the salsa thing, that sounds very good. Have you ever tried fish tacos?. The traditional type with cabbage MMMMMMM. I am so hungry. Your slow cook pan method sounds interesting also. I do a dutch oven elk/deer/antelope roast that is very tender and juicy too. Brown the roast in the dutch oven with a little olive oil and favorite seasonings. Then I add a cup of water and cover and put in the regular oven on 250 degrees for about twelve hours. Melts in your mouth. Not to mention the pan gravy is out of this world. I think I need to go to lunch. LMAO. That damn Whopper just isn’t going to cut it today.
Good Cooking, Kayote
PS I saw a poster today that said ’ There is a place on earth for all of God’s creatures, right next to the mashed potatoes’. LMAO…
Kayote you’re right! A burger just won’t cut it today. I can never get the gravy right either, but I do love to soak up the juices with some fresh cooked rolls.
