8 bucks just to drive through? Is that both ways or is that 8 bucks for the day? Thats a real bummer my National Parks pass doesnt work there. I wonder what the fine is if you don’t pay. I think its pretty silly you have to pay 8 bucks if you aren’t going to use any of the facilities and are just driving through. I guess I will just be going the other way.
it is 8 bucks a day. i just buy a season pass since i only fish out of echo
What does a season pass cost? Any chance of a veteran/retiree discount on it? Do you purchase it via the self pay boxes or have to get it elsewhere? I might have to try buzzing up the 15 and compare to my normal drive. I do like the lake drive though. Especially in the AM. Nice quite drive and a chance to down a couple cups of coffee before getting to the ramp. I exited Stewarts via Valley of Fire once years ago to check it out when I was shore fishing other than that never been back. If I remember right lots of curves so could be interesting in the dark for the first time or two.
For the most part all we fish is Echo too. What boat do you have? Color/type, etc. I rarely run into anyone from the forum or if I do I don’t know it. lol I never know what to look for. I know there is more than one blue Tracker 175WT (full windshield/walk-through) in town but to date I have yet to ever run into one on the lake so if you see one more than likely us. Especially if there is a blonde headed 11yo girl in the back fishing and catching them all. lol
More than likely if that pesky thing called “work” goes the way I want this week we will be out there launching out of Echo 30 minutes before the posted sunrise time Friday. Our usual planned time to be at the ramp. Just light enough to cruise on out w/o putting the lights up/on.
Nevada State Parks Passport ($100), the Valley of Fire Annual Pass ($75), and the Senior Pass for Nevada State Parks ($30). We DO NOT accept any National Park Passes or Golden Eagle Passes.
So, if you get the $100 pass you would have to go at least 13 times in a year to make that pass worth it. Not too bad of a deal but $100 seems like a lot to fork out if you can just drive the other way and not pay anything. Just my $0.02.
I’ll end up hitting Echo way more than 13 times in a year but wouldn’t pay it either. The drive along the lake is fine with me.
