SMITHMOREHOUSE??

I’ve fished here a few times. It receives heavy pressure during ice-off. I do know it gets stocked often though. In late fall it was stalked with a ton of little tiger trout about 6". I’ve never been skunked there shore fishing with worms of fly & bubble. my friend swears by this place and when he can’t decide where to go, he goes there. I’d try going on a week day if you can to avoid the crowds. Can’t wait to try it in a flaot tube in Late May or June.

Yea gotta watch out for the police!!

Hey TB8 aren’t you in the Heber area? If so try Mill Hollow when the road opens. Just head east on Center St. and keep going. The fish are small but it is planted regularly and it seems to be the drop pot for whatever DWR has left over. The only fish I haven’t seen in there are kokes and macs. Try a weekday fishing trip if possible as it gets heavy pressure on the weekends and some weekdays. School outings and scouts can fill the place up. It’s great for a raft or tube and there is camping if you choose to stay the night.

I’m in Orem, right by the canyon, so I guess you could say I am close enough to the Heber area. Either way that is still a pretty short drive. Thanks for the info on that lake, I will put it on my list. Sounds like a good place to take the wife camping.

It is just beautiful up there. If you go keep in mind cool nights and bring your own fire wood.
Small spinners casted horizontal to the shore works best.
