What will your propellant be?[:p]
you could always make a harpoon launcher patterened after the potato guns you see the kids making and showing it being used on your tube.. ![]()

I have actually thought about doing that then reality set in not wanting to get arrested for having a projectile launching device out on the water looking threatening.[pirate] Although it would be fun to try out.[:p]

The eternal quest for that great pale whale.
lol.. I know I go the other way if I saw someone with a long piece of pvc and a harpoon jutting out the end of it.. LOL..

I am a pretty fair internet jockey. There are lots of places on the web where you can go with your search engines to find something specific.
One of the easiest is to use Yahoo, and then once you have the subject entered in the search topic, click on “Images” instead of just doing a regular search.
Once you find the image you want, look at the size of the file. If it is too large (over 500 pixels wide) it cannot be “copied and pasted” into a BFT post. But, if it is between about 300 and 500 pixels you can right click on the picture, click on copy and then paste it into the post.
**Many of the pictures you see are “copyright protected” or may not allow you to copy them. The pictures listed as being on Flickr are protected and you cannot use them. **
If you are ever doing a research project and need a quick picture, that is the best way to find one rather than going through pages and pages of websites on a regular search.
Ok, good to know.
Thank you big guy.

I still say shore fishing is good. Learn a good roll cast and sky is the limit.
SHORE CAUGHT BEAUTIES
And trust me, some of these required hanging on to a branch and flinging the line out.
Very nice Joni.
I relly like that albino looking trout ![]()
Peter
I was told it is a PALAMINO ??? Never heard of them and specially here in Utah, but they are here. Notice, no red eyes. About 26" on a 5 wt Bamboo though…yeah baby!
I guess that is the other attraction to shore fishing…I have a few rods I refuse to take out ON a lake as anything can happen.
Palamino it maybe. Here they call those albino or lightning trout I beleve (no red eyes) Anyways, it
is a cool trout and 26’’ is very nice for any trout.[;)]
And yes, it would suck to drop your “special” rod and
reel in the lake.It happend to me but thanx god it was
nothing “special”.
Peter
Interesting white trout, goddess. We get a few albino trout I see around here on the river ever so often, probably from stocking. They don’t last long enough to be caught by fishermen, flying predators pick them up quickly.
There are various gadgets used to save rods falling overboard. The foam type are most reliable, but may affect the action of some rods depending on where you mount them. There are also much smaller minature chemical balloon types (alkaseltzer) that activate when rod remains completely submerged for a couple of minutes. I have used both and they work. You must test to see if they will hold the weight of your gear. The chemical type produces a longish fluorescent balloon with a string that pays out. If the water is really deep, you can usually see the balloon below the surface if the gear is too heavy to float. Then run a snagging gear to retrieve.

I use leashes…that is not what I am saying. THE WHOLE BOAT can go under. That would suck for the price of the boat alone but add a $2K rod and $250. reel…no thanks.
