Took a couple grandsons to Scofield last week.
Fished from the shore as our son had borrowed our truck and it was in Arizona working. (It was starting to feel as though it was made to only go fishing). I was a bit surprised at how good the catching was from shore. We have pretty much just boat fished for years.

Caught a bunch of cuts and a few bows. One 2+ lbs bow and one 2+lbs cut. Almost all of the fish were good sized not dinks.

We were throwing jigs tipped with worm. We have run out of chub so no cut bait.

Thanks for the great report and getting the grandkids into some fish.

You should have dropped down below the dam while you were there and replenished your chub supply. I’m surprised you didn’t get one or two fishing from shore this time of year.:grinning_face:
