Looks like I am going tio be set for a float tube[:)]
I am going to buy the donut from cat_man. I will try to get to Kmart to get some flippers, but just in cast would you mind bringing an extra pair? I will also need to get some essentials, can you guys give me a list ( as i have never tubed before) I will need a net I assume, but what else?
I’m jealous of you guys! I wish I wasn’t heading up to Idaho to visit my brother or I’d be there!!
It’s not you…it’s me. Or more accurately, it’s family responsibilities and yard work, kids, blah blah blah. Kitchen passes are hard to come by in my world.[crazy]
I will bring all that stuff, with me, I will have to stop by the mart.. I am not sure what size the hooks are on the leaders I have. Tha father in law gave me a box of pre tied hooks ect, so I have just been using those ones. Sounds like I will need a good sized pocket knife as well to cut the carp? I also wanted to post a big thanks for cat_man…he has been awesome to me and helping mt get set up with a tube! I hope you guys dont mind teaching a newbie about setups and such..thanks to everyone! and see ya in the AM.
Frankie
Hey no problem Frank! I almost succeeded in throwing a wrench in your cogs by forgetting the tube at lunch. Make sure to post up a good report about the learning session/floatation frenzy!
I will have digital camera in hand and will be sure to take lots of pics!!
Yes pics are good! Specially on one’s first tube outing! Just be sure to pay attention to Pat’s instructions on entering and launching that tube – unless he says to put the fins on first and then step into the tube backwards while closing your eyes and smiling for the camera! lol ![]()
