# Rockport today

Ice was 8 inches thick 100 yards from shore where I fished south of the launch ramp on State Park side. Edges were solid and a couple of ATVs were on the ice, staying near the shore.

Lots of fishermen East side, West side, and by the Dam.

Ice is very slick with only a smattering of snow. Bring your ice clamp on’s for your boots. Easy to pull a sled across the bare ice though.

Slow fishing for me with one fat 16 inch rainbow, one about as big lost at the hole (maybe the 4.5 inch holes I drill are a little small for the bigger fish). One dink perch I cut up for bait.
