the only onces i have eaten were early in the spring when the water is still cold. if they are anything like a lm i wont touch them in the heat of summer.
I think it’s the reservoir. I’ve eaten them out of Deer Creek down in central Utah, and they were delicious. I do wish that if people want to eat walleye that they would just catch some of the small males out of the reservoir and leave the big spawners alone. It seems like there’s a very healthy population of smaller walleye up there in the res, certainly more than in the river and it can handle the harvest.
