Pooh on Yuba

Thanks for the report TD, and why did you dip the one in bleach. to try and help him get rid of the anchor sores. hehe Maybe some day we will be able to sample those porkey little critters down there. Well if the water manages to stay in the lake this year I would be that the state record perch gets broken on a daily basis.

:sunglasses:Not likely the state record for perch will be broken out of Yuba for at least a couple of years…if then. Have you checked what it is?

Back in the olden days there are several of us “veterans” who probably ate several state records without bothering to register them. Some folks are just more record minded than others.

I have no clue what the record is. I was just amazed at how portly those little toads were.

:sunglasses:Here is a link to UTAH FISH RECORDS

**You will note that the state record is over 2 pounds and almost 16 inches long. I know of several larger perch that were caught and consumed. **

Again, I also doubt that we will see fish larger than that within a couple of years. But, a porky 13 incher on the end of my line or in my basket is fine with me.
