I have tried painting different numbers, designs and stuff with different paints. You can find paints in auto upholstery sections of the Auto Parts stores and for painting awnings, etc.
But, I used a vinyl spray for the red mouth…spraying over a cut-out template I made. Then I went back and hand painted the white teeth using a fabric paint from the hobby store.
Sadly, I have yet to find a good paint that will not crack and peel after repeated dunkings and a lot of UV exposure. The worst part is probably the expansion and contraction of the bladder flexing and breaking the paint.
But…I still have the shark tube and the image is still fairly clear without having any touchups.

Well we went to Mann Creek Res first and had the grandkids with us most of the time, so I spent most of the time helping them fish. At first it was only very young bass but then trent caught a nice 14" trout.
We got to stek sunday around 1 and it was hot! We banked fished from one of the camp spots had lunch and packed it up and came or home. We were hot dirty and tired.
All and all I helped the kids fish and didn’t get to really try things out, so it will be next time!
Michael, I love your set up. Like I said, I am a little shy when it comes to drilling into my frame.
Plus the fact yours are moveable is nice. Less chance of breaking one off and easier to pack, or at least I think it would be.
The handle on the Berkeley lip grippers IS slightly too large for even the thin walled schedule 20 PVC. So, you have two options. 1. Use the larger 1 1/4" schedule 40 PVC (heavier). or 2. Shave down the back and sides of the gripper handle. I chose option 2. I used a power grinder to buzz off the large lip on the back of the handle and then the ridges on the main part of the handle. Yeah, I know, we hate to mess up our tools, but that was the only way I was going to get it to fit in a rack.
