Hey my computer has been broken so I haven’t gotten on here for a day and a half, but I will tell you what… there are some realy pigs that go ice fishing at strawberry! and you thought I was talking about pig fish! but I’m actually talking about the ice fisherman that leave there damn garbage. I’m talking about real pigs. by the way you know who you are. If you are on this sight I dont wanna pass another tip onto you ever again. That aint the way it should be in America. We should be thankful for what we have and pick up after ourselves. Thats all I have to say. I HOPE THIS GETS TO THE RIGHT PERSON CAUSE IT IRKS ME TO SEE THE THINGS I SAW LEFT ON THE ICE! i’m out. ---

Amen!, it is bad at many lakes. At UL when the ice comes off (if there ever is anymore) at places like the pumphouse and other popular joints there is tons of trash that is crammed down the holes and is waiting just under the surface for ice off…what a bunch of pigs. ---

I have to agree with you PIKEMAN ,there are some real PIGS that go Ice fishing. I’ve seen it evertime i have gone ice fishing. C’mon people like Pikeman said you all know who you are, you pack it you pack it out. I bet they don’t do that stuff at their home. ---

Not just the ice fishermen, water bottles, beer cans and other junk floating around all summer as well. Damn shame people do it, but it’s everywhere you go and it is bull-\*\*\*\*! ---

It totally disgusts me also. I wish that the authorities could catch them in the act and that the judges would sentence them to do a clean-up project, for several hours in the area they trashed, while wearing a large sign announcing to the world that they are litters. ---

That is the nature of an on-line forum like this. You have 100 viewers and only 5 or 10 are actual BFT members and out of them, only 2 or 3 are active contributors. Can BFT mods now understand why some of us have a beef with hot spotting, even with large bodies of water when specific locations are given?! Certain fisher"pigs" don’t deserve to catch big or lots of fish yet we hand it to them right on a silver platter. I think it is worse during ice fishing because people get cold and it is hard dragging all the stuff back. Plus it is so much easier to see litter when on the white ice and snow. Besides littering, I am sure the high percentage of poachers are also the ones that litter and are the lurkers. So posters beware. Don’t cast your pearls before “swine”. You have been warned. ---

Ditto to everyone’s comments. I rescued a duck years ago that was tangled up in fishing line because of some trashy fisherman. The effects of the trash is far more reaching than these bozos realize. I scuba dive lakes on occasion and believe me, it’s disgusting. ---

We too in years past have picked up others TRASH on the shoreline during soft water and also the hard deck… **PIGS, PIGS, PIGS** …😠😠 If we ever get ice where we like to fish.. **REPEAT AFTER ME.** \*\*I promise to take a garbage bag with me on the ice and to pick up any trash I see. If you see people littering, if possible, get a picture and a plate number and turn them in for it. We do it for poaching, drunk driving, ECT. Why not for littering. A fine and some clean up, just may help them feel our frustration. LT ---

🕶 **Not as simple as a game law violation. An officer has to witness the scattering and abandonment of the trash. Pics and a witness are not enough. At least that is what sheriffs have told me in the past. Unless they see it happen they can’t cite them and make it stick in court.** ---

I echo everything that has been said. I have never sworn sooo much as when some A-hole buried a mountain dew can in their hole and I later hit it with my auger edited my blades. Thanks for that $30. I teach everyone that goes out with me to leave it better that when we came. The best way to deal with litter bugs is to walk over and offer them a trash bag. I always carry two one for me and one for the A-Hole. You do want to shoot them, but politely embarrassing them is a more effective tool! ---
