Havn’t been out yet. Have to get this years license. Have seen several people out in front of the condos, way out. Know that the water is shallow but still seems like they are too far out.
Anyone know the condition of priest lake ice? I wanna mack fish before we get this big warm up!!
Heading to Lake Havazu, AZ and Lake Mead, NV next week going after them 50lb stripped bass!!
Fished the condos this morning. 9 - 10" of good ice. Slow and small. Caught a few small perch. 4 other people on the ice, doing the same.
Do any of you North Idahoans (my favorite type of Idahoan!!) ever fish Kootenay Lake, in B.C.? We fished it a couple of years ago at Kaslo, and found it to be similar to what Pend Oreille was in its glory years. We plan on going back in early May. Last time we went up, the locals were apologizing for our catching only 8 pounders! Mike
You can access the south end of Cocolalla lake by driving a little further south, accross from the Southside School road there is a roadway that takes you accross the railroad tracks and you can drive parrallel to the tracks for about 200 yards park and walk down to the ice and fish there, Ice is good and the fishing for perch is good but the water is a little shallower there so I’m not sure about the trout..
