that is the kind of concept i had. one thing i want to do is a pivot so i can rotate if needed in deep water to get a direct shot down. i need to figure out a pivoting and lockable swivel whickamagitzit hehe. but i have a similar concept on my other tube thanks to tubedude since its his design. it works great.
Here are a couple of pics of the transducer setup I have used on my last three trips. I think I posted them on a previous thread..but maybe not.
This is the ultimate in simplicity. Once you have the transducer mounted on a PVC shaft, you just tie a piece of stretch cord on the bottom and measure a length that will reach most of the way around the air chamber…with a loop in the other end.
This puppy goes on quick…it is instantly and easily adjustable for height and angle…and it pops off easy and stows in a pocket for transport.
Too simple…and there is no more PVC and D rings involved. You can set it up anywhere on your craft.
It has gone on and off easily and has worked great so far. And, it is independent of the rod rack.
hmmm too simple for me to think of. i like it and going to use that. here i was thinking of some fancy setup for some reason. haha thanks tube
