I was puttin some stuff away for the winter, since finaly it looks like maybe we might get some ice.
I came across the lure for mentioned.
it is a JB-50
you can beleive me when I tell you that the colors in this pic is only 10% of how well the hollographics on this lure reflect.
this is the only minnow shaped lure that my gills will attack. and I mean I can take this one out and come home with dinner, no live or artificial bait.
but it did take me a couple hours to learn how to present it. I took it out when the gills were on the bed and kept swiching off on my tactics untill I got them to hit. and man I have been on the gillse with this all last summer through the fall.
I will find the other lure and post it here to show you the one I get the names mixed up with.
well, I found it, and wouldnt you know, still not even close on the name… lol
it is a Crank-50 from megabait as well.
it is kinda like a flat fish and depending on how I hook up terminal wise, I can make it dive, suspend of swim on top the water. realy neat to play with.
this one has broght me in a couple rockbass, LM bass not smallies yet. tho I have to admit I like playing with the other one better, any thing that 9 inch gills want to attack is my best buddie [;)]
I am sure once I learn how to present this one I will be hauling in them bigmouths and small mouths as well. different tactic for each species.
well here it is.
I guess I’m gettin the “T” from my mittle name… lol “Thuh”
OK Dave!!! You got my right hand twitchin over that one. When can we compete for some of these??? I am anxious to try some of them out by time the spring fling hits Cali. It is only about 5 minutes away.
the picture is one third bigger than the acutal lure. I was showing off the enlarged size to show off the detail work. My car should be painted that good, for that matter, I woulnt mind if it wast painted to look like that lure. I bet I would get some looks movin down tha road by the gals then…[angelic]
A paint job like that on a car would be sweet. There are some pretty good custom paint shops here in CA but a nice job like that would probably run up close to 5 or 8 thousand dollars in hollographic grade paint.
I would just settle for some lures instead. hee hee
I hear you there EmuScud. I started out fishing with waxworms and nightcrawlers. My fishing partner won’t fish with anything but crawlers. Toward the end of the last open-water season, I started experimenting with artificials. They’ve pulled in fish when the real stuff wouldn’t. I guess it was the fast action of them. I’m trying to get used to artificials and that’s my goal for this upcoming year. But I still have my fridge full of nightcrawlers!
One other thing I’m gonna try this year…
gummy worms for carp. Gonna try to win me the boat at this years Carp Fishing contest!
