Saratoga Springs, Lindon, American Fork and Utah State Park all charge to launch a boat.
That is great news. I probably spend over $8 in gas to use my Utah Parks pass to launch in Provo and I can also be on the water much earlier and avoid a good portion of the rush hour traffic. I just need to get more comfortable with the areas to fish around that marina.

Not that it matters to me, because I live 20 minutes from the South Marina at Willard. Plenty of cats & eyes in Willard along with the bigger cousins of white bass. I’m gonna pass on Utah Lake. But it looks like a great addition for those of you that live in or south of SLC.
I have tried to Google directions but I keep getting directions to the old Saratoga Springs Marina. Do you know the address of the new marina, or could you post directions from the north?

Threw the camper on and went for a road trip right after the ribbon cutting. Just pulled off the road of the Little Salmon in Hells Canyon to get some sleep. Then headed to Helena tomorrow.
I took the engineers out about ten days ago in preparation of yesterday’s ribbon cutting to run sonar on the depth.
Found about 4.2’ from end of launch out to lake.
Do Not get tempted to go much east from the line between the east edge of launch and the east side jetty.
You can go a bit but you will notice the gentle slope running from east to west.
The day I took the engineers out they asked what more us average boaters could use there.
I suggested they add a lower line of bumpers to the docks for lower profile boats, I also asked if they could stripe the ramp.
The City got both requests completed before the cutting yesterday!
No fish cleaning station yet Bob.
The new marina sits lower than the main sanitary sewer line currently running past it.
For now the bathrooms have a mini grinder for human waste with a mini lift station to pump sewage uphill to the higher line.
If you don’t fish UL you are missing out at the chance for >30 lb. Cats!
Shhhh, did I just say that out loud….
I’d much rather go to Canada and catch trophy Lake Trout, Walleye, & Northern Pike. I’ll leave all those catfish for you.

If you have never experienced a brand new marina before I highly encourage you to go visit this one in the next few days, even if you just drive down without a boat.
For better or worse(seems for the worse nowadays unfortunately) due to this project being a City Park an entrance fee is ONLY charged if you launch a boat.
Entrance is free to anyone not launching a boat.
Today’s free fishing areas are always littered with worm cups, Powerbait bottles, and rats nests of discarded fishing line.
Were these people raised by the same parents that taught them it was okay to leave soda cups and popcorn containers at the movie theatre when the movie was finished???

I launched from the new marina today. The marina is nice except it appears they are having a difficult time getting the flush toilets to work. I found the water ~4.2’ inside of the marina; however, it was only 2 1/2’ deep at the exit of the marina. One can boat at least a couple blocks, headed south, before it gets to 3’ deep. The marina will only be usable, for most motorboats, when the water level is on the high side. The other problem I had is that I couldn’t find the catfish in any numbers. We even tried inside and just outside of the American Fork Boat Harbor and near the bubble up. I was impressed with the major improvements that they have made in the American Fork Boat Harbor. I checked out The Abyss and was surprised to find water that was only 8’ deep. I thought that it would be much deeper.
