So I am a wyoming guy but fish the gorge periodically can I enter a fish caught anywhere on the gorge? I read the rules and all it said was the lake was to be included. Also I didn’t see Lake trout on your species list. If I can enter a laker or a kokanee caught anywhere on the gorge go ahead and sign me up.

Yes fish caught anywhere on the gorge or bear lake are all considered legal for this contest… so I entered you and Caleb I got you on the list as well…

As far as your question goes, the lake trout are part of the predator group not the trout because they out grow the other trout so far, we grouped them with similar length species… Now for confusion, we put the Kokanee in the trout group, so you have fish in two different categories, and small mouth will give you three categories and if you get a burbot that will be four categories so find a panfish and you are competitive for the overall contest… Good luck this should be a fun time… Thanks for joining us… J
