Got a late start, not good because of the oppressive heat, breeze quit pretty much by noon. Was going to try for bass more than crappie and caught a 17 in. LM off a log in 16 ft. of water on the second cast of the day. That was it for the bass, I tried for more, but fell back on the crappie fishing, just can't resist watching that yellow line go slack. I caught about 25 black crappie, most of them keepers up to 13 in., all released. They were at least 20 ft. deep on off-shore drop-offs, docks and rocky banks. All caught on BJ shads with some glitter, 1/16 oz. leadheads. Couldn't have stood it today w/o the Bimini top.\<br /\>\<br /\>The flow increased to 26K cfs at noon and the surface temp was 85 the last I checked.\<br /\>\<br /\>Had a nice chat with Drumking and cuonthelake. Glad to meet CU for the first time.
