Monday Mayhem at Lincoln 5-21-18

haha! classic! thanks for the intel.[sly]

You know i cant believe BLk is still showing up with out his boat, i seen him doing that earlier this year, I would have figured the hitch would have rusted to the truck and wont come off by now or he would carry it like it was for protection ya know a long time ago when he was young in case he got lucky while he was down there.

**Well, I hate to even mention this, but he IS growing older. It is entirely possible that he just forgot to hitch up the boat before heading for the lake…and then made up some silly excuse about planning it that way because of a weather forecast when he got there and someone pointed out he was missing his boat.

At least he brought a rod and some bait. Or I thought he did. I didn’t see any tackle in the back of his truck. Since he called me later on the radio and reported he caught one fish I just assumed he had gone fishing. I did not see the evidence. Him leaving at 9 in the morning after one fish kinda makes one wonder.
**
**
**Happens to all of us. At least I think it does. I don’t remember.
**

Well as long as he can find it when he gets home, does kinda make you wonder if he just found a good place to take a nap, I know I’m always on the look out for just the right spot for one. maybe that what he got out that secret spot that guy was telling him about.

Ain’t so! My boat was hitched and ready to go… on my other truck. I can launch and load my boat in a matter of minutes cuz I have done it so many times.

I had a hot lead on a good spot to catch that 36 incher while TD was ketchin’ cutters. Didn’t work out but it was a good try… got to fish from shore while munchin’ on smoked catfish and slurping my Diet Coke and I didn’t have to listen to a bunch of really bad jokes.

Old age is taking its toll on my bones but my mind is still razor sharp… I think?

Sorry if I touched a nerve there ol’ buddy. I am speaking from personal experience. At least I think I am. Not sure sometimes.

You still planning on hitting it Thursday. Might be willing to hold down a seat and show you how it’s done…again. If you promise not to grumble and whine too much.
**
**
**Bad jokes? They sound pretty good to me. At least I still laugh at them…for the tenth time.
**

Ain’t got no nerves to touch… they are all dull and frayed.

Thursday is on for sure with the boat… there is still one seat available so give a shout if you would like to be mentored while we search for a big one… for me.

I need to verify my availability tomorrow morning. Should be good. And I will be happy to help you in your search. Some of us are beyond help.

**
**We can confirm logistics by email. I’ll have my peeps contact your peeps, etc.

Kent, how did you do this morning? We were in the white boat at the BS at 7 30 we goy no wb and only 5 cats. Sloooòo. Biggest was 24 in.

We caught about 10 cats (largest at 26 1/2"), at least 20 white bass and the 9 pounder in the attached photo. I accidentally snagged it and reeled her in on 4 pound line (lots of fun). I filleted her this evening and she was full of eggs. I hope she catches a sturgeon and many cats for me. We had no luck out in the plains where Pat fished. I found them right up next to the weeds, but they would immediately head for the thick timber when they were hooked and I couldn’t pull them back out, so we did most of our fishing at Bird Island.

Yes it was a great day of watching you reel them in. [;)]

I’ll have to look around for some of those shrimp that you were using.

Thanks again for a good day out on the water.
