I’ll be hitting Pineview early Saturday a.m. in the LITTLE boat with my daughter to see if she can catch a Tiger Muskie. Might head over to Willard later if the wind isn’t blowing.
Sunday afternoon heading up to Jordanelle with the BIG boat and the family to spend the night on the water. Come home Monday about noon or so.
I’ve been putting up with Memorial Day crowds on the water for 20 years now. I also tried staying home to avoid the crowds. All that accomplished was that it made me mad. I’d rather be out with the crowds than not out at all.
Yeah those crowds seem to bring out the worst in young people… three or four years ago I was solo fishing at Deer Creek’s wallsburg bay area in the wakeless area when twice, a boat full of bikini-clad girls passed me making a lot of noises and told them not to scare the fish away so shhhhhhhhhh! They came back and squirted me with their water pump gun. I yelled at them to knock it off and two of them promptly frontal-mooned me… (It simply was like one of those danged late night tv commercials of those “girls gone wild” behavior.) And they laughed at me for my drop-jaw expression as they drove away… I couldnt beleive I saw that in this state of Utah…
I’m headead back down to Huntington and E-Lake. Hopefully have the hole in my tube fixed. And I will be using that. My buddy just bought him a tune, see how he does on that.
I love those tiger trout in Huntington ever since I caught them thru the ice. And the cutts in Electric lake are a lot of fun to bring in to.
I hope everyone can enjy the fishing for me. I have 12 hour shifts each day this holiday weekend. I won’t be doing any fishing unless it’s with a client (which is highly unlikely). [:(] I’ll say this though-I won’t miss the holiday traffic and crowds.
No fishing for me… at least none planned. Went to Cascade Springs yesterday… tomorrow or Monday I may go hiking with my dog and do some scouting for deer. Saw a few yesterday up AF canyon… but I want to get up high where the big boys are hanging out. No crowds up where I’m going.
We’re still waiting to see that pictures of that beast…
