decided to get up early an head to lost creek on Friday , got there at 630 only a few people there , headed out found the kokes got two limit in no time and then the crowds came time to get off boat after boat , people all over the lake. The water is getting quit low probley won’t be much longer before you can’t launch your bigger boat , but the day was nice and nice to get out.every day you get to go fishing gives you a day longer to live.
We were there on Wednesday and had our 2-man limit in less than an hour. Saw 3 other boats all morning. Ours are resting in the freezer, all smoked and waiting for a call to snacking. ![]()
Bob,
Does LC have decent campsites?
They look great . Im going to eat some if mine tonight . Ya I should have know with the holiday it would be crowded.
They are making new camp sites but they are not open yet , not really anywhere else to camp unless you want to camp by the boat ramp maybe put up a tent somewhere
Nice work! Great report, glad you got them it seems kokes are firing up everywhere! Lots of good action around at many lakes right now. Smokers are getting a workout!
Size looked decent, are they in 16” inch range at Lost Creek?
Since fireworks banned I went out early with a buddy to another lake, it was fireworks 2 man limit in 45 minutes.
Not at the present. The new canpground below the dam is still under construction. When opened, it will have paved pads with water & power. Currently, there isn’t an estimated date of completion, but I would guess from what I saw last week, it will most likely be open next year. The boat launch is a one lane concrete ramp with a wedge dock and a boat loading dock. Water is currently at 47% full.
All 8 fish we kept were between 11" and 12". Perfect size for snacking.
They had a primitive camping area, just past the boat ramp last year, I can’t say if it is still there but I don’t see why it wouldn’t be. You could always call the state park manager to find out.
