The weather continues to be a factor. You get a couple of nice days and find fish, then a front blows in and it changes everything. The guide trip I had today, at 2pm when the
front came in, the wind blew us off the water. We fished pads north of Whayleys Landing and boated 12 fish. The fish were right on the edge of the pads and were taken on spinner
baits, plastic worms, and lizards. Earlier in the week before the weather changed, rattle traps in open water where producing very well. One very good place was out in front of
Southport Marina and also the open water in Goblet’s Cove. Shiners continue to produce fish. North Steer Beach has been holding some nice fish in the pencil grass. There has not been a big change from last week and you do have to be careful on the water with the fronts and storms moving in. If you see a storm coming, get off the water. The wind
associated with the recent storms have been dangerous to be caught in on the lake. Feel free to email me with questions or comments at CaptainChuck@centralfloridabassfishing.com
