Went to Bull Frog on Thursday, the wind didn’t seem to ever stop!
We caught Walleye, Smallmouth, Largemouth, Sunfish, Catfish, Crappie and yes skinny Stripers. We fished north to Cedar and south to Lake canyon. Most fish were caught on Maniac Minnows and Maniac Grubs. Best colors were 015,040,045,010.
fishing was slower on saturday.

Good lookin’ fish! Ya, I’ve been on a few Powell trips where the wind ripped the whole time. Makes fishing pretty darn hard. I’m real careful about watching forecast now. If it looks windy, I’m no going! LOL!

Those skinny stripers are bad. You can fill a cooler up, clean all the fish and walk away with virtually no fillets worth a darn!

I don’t think we hit Moki, can’t remember all of the spots we fished.
The Walleyes were caught from 4’ to 30 ft deep, there was walleye in with the Stripers. We also found Stripers on the rocky Gravel pionts. The Largemouth were holding tight to the Structure, possibly because of the cold front. There was Smallies shallow, but they semmed to move deeper into 15 to 30 ft deep. The 3" Minnow reeled slow was a great producer. I wish I was going to Powell now instead of last week, that wind really sucks!!!

Looks like you guys did pretty good. I went up with a bunch of striper fisherman. Only got to fish for the green fish a couple of times. When we did fish for bass. We caught a few but it wasn’t red hot. We did do pretty good with your cutter bugs in the green pumkin color Carolina rigged. I also caught a bunch of stripers on the maniac minnow. If you were near people using bait it was non stop on the minnow and you did have to mess that bait crap. We caught our stripers at the mouth of Moki and the mouth of Lake canyon. I tell you what it is sure sad at how skinny those fish are. I would rather go to willard if I want stripers the fish are better quality. Heres a few pics.
