Ice Fishing Michigan 2002 – 2003 season
These critters is what you can expect to fish for in the great lakes state of Michigan. Included are some of the general rules to give you some incite.
Average number of Days of Ice Fishing
0 – 90
Types of Fish limits and sizes
Blue Gill – 25 per day
Perch – 50 per day
Crappie – 25 per day
Bass large & small mouth – 5 per day in combination – 14 inches and up (season closes on December 31st)
Cisco – 12 per day
Thumb Biters (Northern Pike) 21 inches
Rock Bass no limits
Northern Pike – 2 per day – 24 inches
Walleye – 5 per day – 15 inches
Muskellunge – 1 per day – 42 inches
Sturgeon – 1 – by lottery drawing only. 5 permits will be given for Black Lake. (contact DNR Gaylord office.)
special note if you are fishing for both pike and walleye you may hade a total of 5 combined and no mere than 2 pike.
