# Hi from another greenhorn in PNW

Hi all,

Tried my hand at fishing for the first time in late 2020, very much looking forward to the Springtime. Never touched a pole in my life, decided it was another great way to get out there with my 5 YO son and wife.

I ask a lot of questions, hope ya’ll are cool with that!

> Welcome to the site, lots of people took up fishing and other outdoor activities last year and it’s always good to get the little ones outside and enjoying nature at a young age, so good for you. As far as asking a lot of questions, that is what this site is for, so ask away. I think I should tell you though, there isn’t too much activity on your state forum but most folks on the Utah board will try and help all greenhorns.
