The outlook express is a SWEET boat koke… That is what I am getting next year. I like the odc 420 light because it only weighs 6lbs o.k. maybe 7 with the tube dude pimping… If I am going in less than 2 miles I am sure I can rig up something for the outlook but longer than that I will take the creek company boat. See it is like crack you are addicted… So is Microsoft selling the Outlook Express online or can you get it at Staples or Best Buy?** My understanding is if you have XP or 7 it comes with it.
Speaking of crack addiction!**[;)][angelic][angelic][angelic]
Sorry dealing with computer problems at work so my mind was scrambled… Outlaw escape ..
Whatever you decide upon, you are welcome to bring it to the tubeatorium for a retrofit. A few simple addons with lightweight PVC will not add much weight but will make life easier on the water…and help prevent rod loss, etc.

Where there is a will…there is a lawyer.
Where there is a float tube…there is PVC.
When I pop for the scadden I will be back over to the tube lab for some pimping. Will probably need a few more jigs by that time as well. The copper pats are money..
I figured out the Outlook Express=Outlaw Escape this morning…that was great though.
Out of town this weekend, but maybe in August we can meet up at the Berry or maybe even Jordanelle and you are welcome to try it.
Sometime mid august would be sweet. Would love to row one before I drop the coin on it. But I am now considering selling my boat since it has been out all of 2 times this whole year.
Understandable. We started out with some very nice boats and water skiing included, but as the years went, so did that phase.
Had tubes for over 30 years and they just got bigger and more comfortable.
One thing I would like to point out to you and Koch…the Escape is a FANTASTIC and very comfortable TUBE.
It is not designed to be transformed into a mini Bass boat and I will be interested to see what TD can do.
There is very little room behind the seat and the bigger you are, the less room. You have two large side bags with a rod holder built into the side
You can’t have anything on the side of the tube because of the oars.
Don’t know about a battery and attaching a motor, because for me, there MIGHT be enough room for a battery, but with the inflatable floor, the battery would be sitting ON the tube not in it.
I love it because I have the bigger pontoon with the motor. This is my Hike in tube, but I have been on Mirror Lake one to many storms that my legs felt like they were going to fall off from kicking as hard as I could.
Went to Mirror Lake a couple of weeks ago and was able to cross the lake rowing in about 15 minutes and the rowing is not stressful at all.
I pack two rods. One with a sinking line and one with a floating. but I can take all my fly boxes and accessories. I just transfer the side bags from boat to boat.
i think i might have screwed myself… i think i love the renegade. it gave me that funny feeling in my pants, the same one you get when you climb the rope in gym class… WHAT DO I DO???
Well, it weighs 4 more pounds, 3’ longer and 300 more lbs capacity, I see nothing wrong with the attraction.
It is killing two birds with one stone.
PLUS, you can add a frame and motor in the future.
They pack up pretty small and like I said"4"!!! lbs more!!!
I bet one of you boots weights more than that!
I am just waiting on a price from you my friend… I might just take the plunge with you. My only concern is will it fit into a backpack for us to pack those bad boys up to our favorite mountain range. I would sure like to row one and sit it it before I drop that kind of coin. I also am considering selling my boat because it has been out 2x this year. I might hold off until the spring would hate to sell it for 2750 and have to pay 4500 again to buy it back. I do although have a raft and an electric if I really want to troll again.
just met Dave, hes one cool cat, i mentioned your name. he made me a deal i couldent refuse, i will be picking both of them up next week, escapes. thanks!
Look for me an kochanut floating on a high mountain lake near you. Tube dude has to warn people about this stuff when they buy float tubes the economy is bad and boat sales are already hurting. Losing two hard core hardware draggers isn’t going to help much. Now the question is to keep or sell the boat… HMMM>>>>
