For you bass huggers.

I have never eatin any LMB but you got my mouth a watering. I cant wait to catch a few and try them.

Wait until some little tyke is pulling on your pantleg, and saying, Can we take him home and eat him Grampa?

glad you enjoyed my post! ty.:sunglasses:

Can anyone tell me witch lakes are the large mouth bass stunting in???

The wrong info can hurt the fishery…

.

Keep a few small fish and throw the big ones back. I think the DWR would do well to have regulations specific to the water your fishing. Take Flaming Gorge for an example, that water is full of little runts, but doesn’t have the numbers of adult bass that it had fifteen years ago. If they put some regs on that water to save more bigger fish, it would be a better quality fishery. However it would make having a tournament there a little more difficult. I don’t think generic regulations is the answere to all of our highly pressured Reservoirs.
Just my two cents!![;)]

What if there were limits where you had to release under 10" and over fifteen? Kinda the opposite of the “Strawberry slot limit”. Then there are little bass aka forage for the larger adults and you also have your tournament saver quality big bass as well. Just a thought… anyway, there are some places like Deer Creek, Jordanelle, Mantua, Pineview, Pelican, Horseshoe Springs, Blue Lake, and other spots that in my experience anyway, the bass are cookie cutter style and while you can hook into some nice fish… there are plenty of smaller fish that it wouldn’t hurt to weed out. Never hurts to take a few nice fish for the table either huh Leaky?? :sunglasses: Hopefully the DWR does loosen up or completely rewrite some of the restrictions on places with “anything over 12” restrictions so that those that enjoy a nice large (largemouth, striper or smallie) bass for dinner can do so without being made to feel guilty or like they’ve violated some ethics issue. Catch and release is not the answer to it all and I think with all species, some harvest is necessary to sustain a healthy and “proper” environment for the fish to exist in.

There Leaky, thats my two cents… I just don’t get on here much anymore so thats why my opinion was absent. Didn’t want you thinking that I wasn’t supporting your opinion. [;)]
