The Sierra Fly Fishing Club in Van Nuys will start their tying class in January. I took it last year and it was great for a first time tier. They even loan you the tools and tying book. Ken and Dean from the Spot are members of the club as well.
However, the classes are in Sylmar. They continue to meet and tie year round after the class is over.
