I have never heard of a seam split inside of a cover. Are you sure the zipper wasn’t opened a bit???
You have more nerve than I if you get back in that thing. Please WEAR a quality life vest.

I wear an inflatable Cabelas with a hand rip cord. That thing is so comfortable that I forget I have it on till I get ready to remove my waders. Illinoisgiller
Getting a new bladder does not work for me. You need a refund and then put the extra cast toward an Outcast tube. I have two Fat Cats one of which is 10 years old. I’ve had to restitch the seam that contacts the water but I would trust this 10 YEAR OLD tube over any Bass Pro product. Outcast is in the tube and toon business. Lost Lake from Bass Pro almost got you “lost”.

It is sure sad that Solomonthered had to go through such an experiance just starting out in a tube. Great gift from his brother and then all this.

Seems to me freak occurences like this could happen to anyone, anytime with any brand of tube. If the tube design matches your equipment and the water conditions where you go, I’d get back in once it has been carefully repaired and tested. Heck these things happen more frequently with motorboats because of their complexity. That’s the reason for a PFD and rehearsed backup plan to get free or the tube if necessary. Backup foam flotation can be cut to fit from an old sleeping bag closed cell pad, swimming pool noodle or pipe insulation. I have some sleeping bag pad pieces installed under the seat of my pontoon.
