Fishing strawberry

Does anyone know if strawberry is any good for kokenee right now , and how about East Canyon any kokenee biting ?

I was hoping someone got out over the weekend and could give you some first hand info
But I can confirm that kokes are being caught at both lakes. Other than that I can’t give you any first hand info.

We fished Strawberry on Friday. One nice kokanee and lots of good sized rainbows.

Well that’s too bad, in most years, in the past, the koke catching is turning on by now, is that fair to say? Thanks for the report John. Hopefully the koke catching improves as the season progresses.

Sure sounds like those rainbows are still getting caught , as I reported awhile ago we caught more rainbows there than anything .But being fly fishermen thats what we are after .

One thing that would be cool, is if those bows started getting some size to them, I’m talking about 5 to 10 pounders, the combinations of big bows and cutts would be awesome.

Last sat night and sun I went fishing . Sat night went to DC got there just after 4 pm water was great no skiers just a couple more fisher men . Tried for walleye not to fast caught 4 small ones then tried for bass tons of small ones . Then sat morning went to strawberry got there a little late , water was nice and calm , right of the bat caught a big rainbow then lost a Koke then nothing till noon wind came up decided to stay and fish anyway at 1 the kokes decided to start biting , ended up catching 6 and lost 5 I just can’t seem to keep the on there was 2 of us .
