Been thinking about fishing some lily pads never done it how do yall fish them with out getting all tangled up in them? Raypaw

I use wheedles crank baits or flippin jigs over top of the pads and make em hobble cross the tops
Hula poppers beside the pads along with crank baits and draw them hawgs out

throw a weedless frog out in the middle of the pads, then hold on! there are hundreds of good ones on the market.

Just came back from Schroon L. in the Adirondacks. I used 4 and 5 1/2" Stik-O’s Texas rigged with a Renegade wide gap hook. I oufished my partners 5 to 1. The lure is almost a sin to use because of it’s shallow water versatility and catch to cast ratio.
Bass Pro sells them and their half the price of Senko’s.
1 way i like ta fishem is hit them lil isolated pads off the main bunch…ill take a spinnerbait an cast past them then run it just outside them,if that doesnt produce then ill run it rite thruem…run it just under water,maken blades churn water…WATCH 4 them pads 2part when U run it just outside.I was dewn this a fu moons bac,1 hit it an i never terned it,had DRAG set 2 tight...Poped 17 pound test like it was nutn…I herd that fish come up bout 3 R 4 tymes thru Fog tryn ta shake that spinnerbait out of mouth…I was SIC!..Bsafe!
