Fishing Injuries

Let see…
Little brother at age 4 got his left ear pierced by a fly fisherman up Provo canyon.
I had my wrist slit but the spiny barbs of a whitie, finger almost loped off by a fresh water cray fish in Hawaii, cut the HE!! out of my feet when running accross the lava flow after seeing a shark while snorkoling in Hawaii, had a snag with my rooster tail and yanked on it and snaged my sack (ya know what I mean), caught one in the scalp, almost lost a finger when I was holding my line and the boat motor caught my line, and of course the normal hook in the finger…countless times.

Law

[unsure] While fishing Boysen in Wyoming the wind blew my tacklebox lid open and a rapala thunderstick went through my shirt at the elbow and pinned my shirt to my Arm. I couldn’t take of the shirt to see the damage. I had to use my left hand (I’m right handed and a total clutz with the left) to cut away the shirt with a pair of sissors I use for to cut fireline. I then had to cut the skin above the hook and was finally able to pull the hook out. Fortunetly, there aren’t as many nerve endings around the elbow so it didn’t hurt to bad.

:blush:Another time, I snaged my jig on the rock. I kept jerking the pole to unhook it. It came off the rock straight at me and konked me on the forehead right between the eyes. That hurt like He..! It’s amazing how much intertia a little chunck of lead has.
