That place is epic! I fished there every year in spring as a kid. I remember seeing huge trout all over the place by the hatchery runoffs. The lake is fun to fish all times of the year. One of my buddies goes up every February and always has a blast. He says his arm hurts from the fast, heavy and constant big trout.
Willow Creek Country Club in Sandy is the annual site of a Nationwide Tour (now Web.com Tour) event, and they have a Caddy’s Fishing Tournament the day before the golf. Every year, somebody hauls a 20-pound brown out of the pond on the ninth hole. You can stand on the edge and see them cruising. Monsters, absolute monsters.
