fishermen with pictures of boat to close. Thank you

BEST DETERANT IS A WRIST ROCKET EVEN IF YOU DONT SHOOT IT. JUST STAND UP AND DRAW ON THEM AND THEY WILL MOVE AWAY FAST…

I put a crank bait in a skier last year up at Jordanelle , And they went and got the Ranger and said I cast at them…

After the Ranger quiet HE HAing he gave the ticket to the skier for comming to close and they had to pay for the crank bait …

The skier had to go to the DR. to get it removed…:face_with_tongue::sunglasses:

Coot, something I have started doing this year is when I see a boat coming and I think he is going to get with in 150 feet I raise my orange flag as if to indicate a person in the water and if there direction does not change I start waving it in the direction I want them to go. I have been impressed how well it works, I have had them steer around me by 300 feet or come to a complete stop then slowly go behind me and by then I am a good distance from them. I cant say for sure but I think I had problems with them same people in the photo when I raised the orange flag they stoped about 150 right behind me then I motioned for them to go around they looked at me all puzzled then drove around me slowly.

If you do this ,you might just find yourself in trouble with the law. This could be seen as assualt with a deadly weapon. It’s usually best to talk with the ranger ,and then let him do what has to be done. After all that is what he paided to do.

I was out there saturday and sunday and i did have one boat cross in front of me twice!First the idiot crosses in front of me then goes and turns around and goes in front of me again! And it wasnt a water skier imagine that.:face_with_tongue: I tried a radio check once i was on the water on my marine radio and didnt get a response. Is channel 16 always monitored by the rangers? I keep wondering if my radio works or not.I might have put the antenna together wrong i am thinking. Also you passed right in front of me and the family on saturday right out of the north marina.I wasnt sure if that was you or not.We plan on going to willard quite often this year and its good to know that you are out there watching out for people.[;)] keep up the good work.

In response to your question about channel 16 being monitored. For the most part it is monitored all the time. I generally leave my truck radio on channel 16 and my handheld radio on Box Elder Dispatch. With that said, if I am in my truck I would hear you but other wise I would not. If channel 16 doesn’t work call 435-734-9494 if you are on Willard Bay. The other thing I would say about channel 16 is that it is for emergencies or to report a problem. The biggest problem is that people like to use it as a conversation channel. It is okay to hail a boat on 16, but then if your just going to talk about the fishing, weather, where your at, etc. please go to another channel. Also, channel 16 is a monitored channel by the FCC (Federal Communication Commission) and if you use it inappropriately you could be charged if they can find you.
