Has anyone had any success with this line. I have the 8lb on all my spinning gear, I find it to be some of the most sensitive line I have used. Has anyone had similar results? I was just wondering.

I have been using Fireline on my spinning reels for several years now. For bottom bounce for salmon, it is one of the best lines on the market. Spin fishing for trout I would probably prefer mono.
Use it on some of my rigs. Great line but be carefull actually had it gouge into my guides. No problem with fuji gueides though.

Fireline has degraded a little in the last few years. Originally it had a slick, black coating that cast a mile, even with spincast reels. The process has changed to produce the line and the gray surface of the line puts more friction on the guides and begins to fray over all of its casting length after a month. It seems softer than the original line. I still prefer it to Spider Line Fusion or Spiderline Spider Wire for sensitivity, no memory, and no stretch.
I too prefer monofiliment line for trout, in the 6 lb range with 4 lb leader. Hasn’t failed me yet. The key to success is changing the line every two years or risk it breaking at a very inopportune time, like when you have a 6 lb trout on the end of it.
I hate when I do that.

well, I have done some testing with the fireline and I have came to the conclusion that I will probably stick with the trilene, fireline is just too expensive and I don’t think it is as good as the trilene. But I give it credit it does cast pretty good. Thanks for all your inputs!

I will agree with you on this one
my favorite is still stren. no reason just like it. ( I do have trilean on my other reels but on my most used reel stren is my main line.)
