Well the thing is there is a season and perfect timing for all species. I fish all species but only at peak times. .

That is what I like about this state. You have something that is close to “peak” year round. If you plan things out, you will have very few skunky trips. For me, right now is still ice fishing and a little flyfishing for trout. Then next month, it is LMB and panfish time till June. Then a couple of months of smallie action. Fall is trout time. Finally the ice comes and its hard deck time for whatever species you prefer. Repeat next year, enjoy all of it.

I’ve kind of been trying to get myself to fish more this way. I always get excited to go chase bass as soon as the ice comes off, but I’d really be better off chasing trout or walleye I think. I’m really going to try to do that this year.

Why, because of the strike.

Why, because of the taste
3. Trout
Why, because of the numbers

Maybe it will be my year to catch a Mack and it will be my #1.
