I think 1-3 days before the full moon is an excellent time to catch fish
hey guys,i watched a segment on the national geographic one nite last week, and this dude went to a island where there,s a big livin volcano. and spent 2 week up on top the volcano and was tryin to prove that the volcano erupted durin different phases with the moon. there were bout ten of em that did it. at the start, but this one guy was in charge. anyways, it boiled down to that people didnt know how to dress fer the weather what to bring, and just couldnt hack it. but anyways, some went home. and there was only a certain few left. they had to go in shifts to be able to time, when, what, how much and what phase the moon was in. it boiled down to that at the end, he proved that the full moon and in its phases the volcano would erupt, more than in others, so i guess my point is, if it does ot with the volcano, why not with the fishin, huntin, or anythin else we do. and to do with nature? they also found how the oceans waves, tides also went in series along with the moon, volcano, winds,they had a thunderstorm up there also and the lightenin was so close they didnt dare go in the tents. it was really a neat segment.and to watch it bein filmed. with the storm, the volcano was at it so much they really didnt think they were goin to make it down if it really did go. but htat was where tey positioned themselves. which was foolish, thats also common sence to me, and ya always set where ya can git out! i dont close myself in anywhere. anybody else see it>? well to me, i belive theres a natural system that controls all weather life, nature and times. to me there has to be. what else is there.? to me it seems just common sence. his wife asked if they could go on a NORMAL vacation this time! haha i dont know if you guys ever feel it, but i am terrible sensitive to the weather,cycles, of the moon, before it gits here, and what it does, before it begins, and the phases of the moon, ahha on a full moon i like to howl! haha least i use to. haha but i can,t sit still my nerves are right tight, and can feel the energy in the air, the pressure, the connection, understandin, of nature life and the cycles of life and time. especially when a thunderstorm is to come, and especially the full moon. if i can feel this, why not nature animals fish or anythin else! that lives! you guys do that too?? jack says i,m different, haha but its funny, were so much alike like that. i feel it from him and his vibes too. ahha i believe there is a depth here somehow someway. thru nature and to all of us.and us as connections betwixt each other, even to the point of bein on the same wave link of knowin what each other is thinkin, before we say it, i do that with jack, ahah crazy huh>? but its true./ sometimes its just takes a little longer fer it to click to some, timin, in life, thats all, but we all got it, its just knowin how to use it and conquer it,understand it, its called INSTINCTS/ haha different times in life fer all of us, but until the storm comes, or somethin happens, then we learn to understand, connect, and it clicks, its just fer me, i have lived with nature so much that i can tell when somethins goin to be, OR happen, it started when i was a kid, cause its the way i,ve always been. but all my animals, were my brothers nd sisters, and spendin those times with them out, watchin them livin with them, also i came to the understandin of this/ i learned from myanimals. they always told me, i learned to listen. especilly when i had all my ponies and dogs, my mikey cat that use to go with us, when i went ridin, too, he,d want ot be on the saddle with bombfire when there was a storm comin and we were away from home. maybe you,ll think i,m nuts, haha but this has been my expierences. later[:)][;)] and the common sence of just life, and it bein.

Full moon, no moon. Can’t say that I’ve seen any difference, in regards to fishing. Just being out there, on the lake or river, on a warm summer evening under a full moon is intoxicating and gets the harmones active. But that’s another story in itself.
I do know that moon light puts the mosquitoes into active mode and are a nuisance to contend with. I think they love DEET at room temperature. Now, when these flying hypodermic needles fly, the bait fish love it. Then the bigger fish love the bait fish, and etc, etc, etc. So it’s the “domino” effect in reverse. To hear that big 'un spashing around just out of the light of the lantern is a sound to behold and gets the adrenaline pumping and the eyes focusing on that rod tip. “Come on, come on, dip, twitch, something.” As you pop another cold one.
And speaking of popping another cold one. I’ve discovered that the scent of lime triggers a bite. I prefer Corona, with lime. And every time I squeeze that sliced lime into the top and raise it to my thirsty throat, I get a bite. Thereby forcing me to set the bottle carefully down and attend to my rod. Happens everytime, without fail. I didn’t know fish could smell/sense lime under water or hear the unscrewing of a cap or the pop of a pull tab. I learn something new every time I go fishing.
I think the fish just want a sample of the Corona. I’ve noticed that a few times. They wont bite when I’m drinking Bud Light. They do have a tendency for good or better beers.
