My old buddy Frank decided to take me out on the water to celebrate a recent birthday. Unfortunately, the night before, I got a little carried away with the Evan Williams. To Frank's credit, he showed his 18 pack of weiser who was boss also. As a result, that early morning date with the lake turned into a brunch. After a good dose of Hardee's and a fair amount of re-hydrating, we hit the water around 11:30am.\

We put in at Vincent and threw worms and crankbait. Nothing. Nothing at all. Except for about 40 jet boats trying to sink us. We fished around there for about an hour and decided we were going to go below the dam, but before we split we ran across the lake to hit another old spot. Frank managed to land a 3lb 10oz LM on a shaky head. \

This would prove to be the high point of the day. \
\
We were running across lake to put the boat back on the trailer when we blew a fuse. We have seen this happen before. It kills the motor. We thought it wouldn't be an issue as we had a supply of fuses in the boat, but once we got her back on the trailer, she decided to blow every single fuse we had. \
\
At this point I just went and sat in the truck. I have learned over the years to just let it be when the time is right to let it be. \
\
We had a sad drive to Ankar's but a wonderful lunch. We also got some more fuses (higher amperage of course, that's always the solution to a blown fuse right..) and we were back in action.\
\
Put in at the river park and ran down town. There wasn't really a whole lot of boat pressure out there, but naturally, some guy in a boat named "Wake Maker" decided to camp out next to our flat bottom and make those wakes as he raced his skier's back and forth 30 ft away from us. \
\
Anyway I guess I'll wrap this up. I managed to catch a baby small mouth, and a blue gill on my trusty Norman, but other than that it was a wash. We are 3 fish for the day and got off the water around 5pm. \
