# Deer Creek is icing up.

Went past Deer Creek two day ago and it was open water as far as the eye could see.

Went by today and ice has formed from the inlet down to the island. When I was coming back the wind had whipped up and broke up about a hundred feet of ice and produced some big cracks but for the most part the ice cap held up.

Temp at the house was in the single digits at 7 P.M. so it will beinteresting to see how much more caps over tonight.

YES! I have been hoping it would freeze up this year. Hopefully it will be safe by the 12th.
