Fished today Friday May 19, tried a lot of different spots, only 2 crappie, 2 perch, The smallmouth were biting good with 4 or so pushing 14"… water temp still 57. Crappie was full of eggs and in deep water at the bottom.. New Black Sands ramp and docks are awesome!

Well I did my drive by and enjoyed the area. It looks like if you are going to stay at Cove Cr. you would want to launch at Black Sands. Not alot of people at Cove but Cottonwood was full. Do you have to reserve a camp site at Cove or Cottonwood or is it first come first serve?
It was a tough go.. We found some suspended fish in the narrows in the am but couldn’t get them to bite.. The schools were hard to locate for sure.. but like we always say, it was nice getting out [bobhappy][fishon]
Caught around 100 last night, night fishing. Had to go through lots of bells and hoops to get them to bite, and what worked one hour didn’t work the next. Had to work hard and keep changing to catch them. Weather was great. You really had to work to catch fish. Most crappie were average, but there were some schools that came through with average 12+ inch fish.
