Bonneville Cutthroats @ Little Dell and Mountian Dell Creek

There you go again taking everything personally. I even warned you it wasn’t personally when I went over the wording for the regs. I didn’t give anyone a hard time for fishing legally. I did give someone a hard time when they ignored they law just to be told according to me blah blah blah, like I wrote the Regulations or something for Little Dell. I’m actually glad to see BCT aren’t being dropped on the rocks for the sake of a picture as I’m sure the DWR officer was as well.
I did check the stocking report and couldn’t find recent data on Little Dell. All I asked was where that number came from? Curious if that’s a reliable number that’s all. I wouldn’t guess that it holds that many fish but I don’t have a clue if it has 200,000 BCT or not.
I don’t get upset or cry over any fish. My response isn’t an emotional one when I ask for a source or point out regulation wording. You’re the one using Wow and cry and !. Not something that ever enters my mind when speaking about fish.
If it bothers you don’t reply I won’t take it personally. But if you don’t mind I’d still like the source of 200,000 BCT for Little Dell. I agree with you there are now tons of BCT in the state as the efforts to keep them from being listed have been very successful. I think spawning BCT coming out of Little Dell is a source to raise and stock BCT in many streams in Utah. It doesn’t have any threats with hybridization and is free of disease. I think that is probable why the regulations for Little Dell are stricter than most places with BCT. I actually enjoy most of your post. Have a good day[:)]

Nice cuts! Where is little dell at?

Thanks catcherman for seeing the good in the post…some people wish to only highlight the bad. Fish near the inlet on the east side for the best action on the lake.

Only when it is obvious and uncalled for.
I do feel you two love to stir it up too. You posted this on another forum and got several responses to the Treble being deep. So, you felt the need to post it here as well and not leave anything out…

Well the answer is yes…I caught my fish legally with legal tackle…I did see that some fish huggers were upset on the other forum, however a few cry babies are not gona censor my posts. If they do not like trebles…BOO HOO!

Well thanks riverdog for enjoying the posts. I did the math and from 2002 to 2010 and about 206,262 cutthroat trout were stocked in Little Dell Reservoir…here is the information you wanted straight from the DWR site.

Here is a link…for some reason the copy paste method will not work properly.

http://wildlife.utah.gov/dwr/fishing/stocking.html?year=2010

There’s a big difference between a DWR worker and a DWR biologist.

Yep there sure is…looks like you were smart enough to catch that.
I imagine that when you two grow up and stop patting yourselves on the back, you’ll may be able to take some criticism, and learn it’s not about the numbers, or showing off how many fish you can bring in. It’s called stewardship. Look it up.
I could care less how many fish you two can catch, and it’s not about you helping others by posting your inane reports and pictures ( like you claim)but it’s about bragging. Good for you guys. You can catch fish at LD. So what.
Now don’t stop posting, I have to get my daily chuckle.

Whats this patting myself on the back and bragging crap about…that is once again…somthing you inferred yourself. I DO believe that I am helping others have a good time out on the water. Each time I vist Little Dell I find a fellow BFT member out there who tells me it is beacuse of our posts why they are there. PA, 1morecast, Marathonman, In2Fishing, Aquaman, LittleNessie, FlyDaddy, and Lonefish are all people who told us at Little Dell that they were there because they read our posts! Even yesterday a lurker told me the following, "“hey EvilTyeDye, I know you. Your posts are the reason we came up here today. We were gonna go to Strawberry but then due to the weather we decided to come here instead for our cutthroat fix. Thanks for you posts”. Thats when I told him that I post so that others may enjoy the same expirence that I have had and possibly make some memories.

P.S looked up stewardship here is the definition.
Stewardship is an ethic that embodies responsible planning and management of resources.

REALLY I THOUGHT THE MAIN POINT TO FISHING WAS TO CATCH FISH! Considering that 206,262 Cutts have been stocked at Little Dell since 2002 I think one less fish will not hurt the fishery. When Little Dell runs out of fish…then you can blame me k.

So with all that in mind mojorizing why don’t you try taking the higher road here and start contributing some benificial information to BFT instead wasting your time, “pissing off the whole planet, one person at a time” as your avatar claims.

And surely, only 2,262 of those fish have perished during the past 9 years.

Forget spending more money saving the bonnies… more of them might remain if we pumped that money in to our education system.

Congratulations for your success in making Little Dell more crowded. Here’s to hoping you don’t find any more local secrets.

Crowded really? That is laughable!

Do you have any clue how big that place is? Just goes to show that you have no idea what you are talking about and how long it has been since you’ve even been there. There are no secrets articgrayling, especially near SLC.

Wow, after reading almost the exact same post on a different website that generated almost the exact same responses, I think you’re just trying to instigate responses like mine. I fell for it and “took your treble hook.” My bad.

I have fished Little Dell for a couple years now and was just wondering if Mountain Dell Creek is below or above Little Dell? If it is above are you allowed to fish below Little Dell? This sounds like a stupid question because I always thought it was below Little Dell since it is called Mountain Dell Creek but I heard you weren’t allowed to fish it. Maybe that isn’t true but I was just wondering.

From what I read, Mountain dell is upstream to Headwater. From dam down is Dell Creek. Does that sound right?

lol i cant help it, im having to much fun reading this entire fiasco

oh yea, in before the lock!

for gods sake they are part of the education system, just look at em and u wonder why some animals eat there young

Mountain Dell Creek is both below and above the dam of Little Dell. You cannot fish below the dam but you can fish the inlet up to the headwaters. **

There is no need for that kind of stuff BigBuck3333…enough already. And Kochanut…stop it with the off topic photos and comments.

Loved both Big Bucks and Kochanuts posts. Keep 'em coming guys.

Speaking of off topic, may I ask if either of you have Jobs? You seem to have a lot of spare time for fishing. Just curious what 22 year olds do these days.

Sure do!!! We do door to door sales…interested in pest control for cheap? I bet that some people fish more than us…but are just too scared to post about it. There are too many fisherman that I have met that strayed away from BFT thanks to too many people complaining at them. Bummer…I really enjoyed their posts.

In before the lock…I say p!ss on all the holier-than-thou lint flickers out there that think that if you don’t fly fish, you are a piece of trash. I fish exclusively with spinners on the streams, sometimes fish deep throat it, and there isn’t anything you can do about it. It isn’t illegal, and loosing a fish or two here or there is no big deal. Certainly many, many more fish die from the onlsaught of powerbait users out there, than from those that get hooked with spinners. If you don’t like it tough! Get yourself, and take your stinking fly poles elsewhere!

wow… this came from so far out in left field im actually at a loss of words. im curious where the fly rod/spinning rod debate came up?

your power bait comment was right on the money though. walk the shores of strawberry in the spring and look at all of the floaters with their guts yanked out.
