Going to be fun having you along with us this year… I’m sure you will get lots of tips as you watch the posts… Watch BoatLoadofKids posts, he will tell you what is working at Utah Lake and may even take you and your Dad out and show you a few things… He’s that kind of champion… We call him the Sheriff, because he has his band of grandkids fishing with him (his posse’)… Not many better to learn from than him, but if you want a starting bait to try, I like night crawlers early in the year… Seems like I catch more channels on that early than anything else… I fish them on a bobber just off the bottom a little ways… In the spring I use smaller hooks like a size 1 aught (0) or 2 aught (00)… They may like white bass in the spring down your way, but we don’t have any of them up north, so I’ll move on to carp chunks or minnow later in the year… Good luck and have fun that’s the most important thing… Later J

Okay… no more goofing around, this year I’m going all out. Preliminary observations are that we will have more water this year and if the lousy algae blooms will go away a new state record (mine) will be extracted from the big pond. Hard to think of cattin’ while the snow is piling up but more snow means more water hopefully.
Four for the South: BLK, Catrat, Catnipper, and Catcarsen. Hope to recruit a couple more later.
