Hey there Cliff,

I like the speed trap(I have a 1/4 oz). Have you ever tried the Brush Baby ? I just pick one up a couple of weeks ago(1/4 oz Fire Tiger) but I haven’t tried it out yet. Just wondering if you knew of it and maybe had a suggestion on the retrieves or use of it. I bought it to bounce in the rocks and debris. If you know, do you have any other recommended colors ? Thank you for any assistance you may be able to offer.

broken back rapalas in rainbow or orange w/gold

Since the heading says BEST three, I listed the 3 lures in my tackle box that catch by far the greatest total numbers of fish. It isn’t even close. Long live the ice!

I haven’t tried the speed traps yet, but I hear that they can be quite effective.

Thank you ! I was hopeing you would weigh in and say something like that. I got it specifically because someone I know had one and told me about it being pretty snagless(great feature for where I like to fish) - even more so than some of the other plug-type lures I have donated to the water over time. I can’t wait to give it a try ! Maybe I’ll go find a bass-choked lake somewhere down southern Utah way to get it broke in this next week.

 2-Pointer minnow jerk bait 
 3-Bomber model A crankbait in crawdad 

 Trout: 
 1-Roostertail spinner in brown trout or rainbow 
 2-Beaded gold ribbed hairs ear 
 3-Beaded pheasant tail

My favorite three lures are as follows: TROUT 1) Canadian Brown Mohair Leach (size 8-10). 2) CD-7 Rapala in “chub” pattern (Black with gold sides). 3) Bead Head Pheasant tail in whatever size is appropriate. PERCH 1) Swedish Pimple as an attractor, Rat Finkee in glow tipped with Wax Worms 2) Worms 3) Perch Meat/eye BASS ??? WIPER 1) Rat L Rap (Ratl Trap) in Blue and Chrome 2) Shad Rap in Blue and Chrome 3) CD-7 Rapala in Vampire
