Another Coldfooter question, keeping those feet warm!

**Either way, I can wait 2 months to ice fish. Next weekend, my brother comes in to town and we are going to head up to “Heaven” and bass fish for some troutski’s.

Hey Rich, I heard you are quickly becoming a bassfisherman(for macs). Predator said you can have his rod/reel since it is now tainted.

I think ice fishing trips this year will be more focused and less often then in the past. Fuel prices has really screwed things up. I need to get a transducer for my Garmin 250. And, then build some underwater eyes.

That All-star Titanium rod is sweet, heavy but sweet. With that extra fast tip is sure makes a nice jig stick. The Quantum Accurist reel is nice but I really have become attached to the rod. I told Predator that possesion is 90% of the law but he refuses to acknowledge that! HA!

Just wanted to give my 2 cents. I also have a pair of mickey mouse boots. I wouldn’t trade them for the world. You can purchase them at Smith and Edwards. Another Cheap tip I can give you is to wear your socks, then a plastic bread sack. then any boots you choose. I use this for my boy’s. I have six, All avid ice fisherman. Who could afford top of the line boots for that many. My answer to your other post. When you do go Ice Fishing go according to the weather. Try to go 2-3 days before a full moon or a new moon. Stay small with your tackle. Good luck! Pikeman

After trying carp punishers mickey mouse boots I am a believer. I just got me a pair off e-bay and my total was about $40. My Sorrels that I have used for years are worthless when it comes to keeping my feet warm. My feet would be cold within minutes of hitting the ice in them. I tried everything to keep my feet warm last year and my feet always got cold. The thing that helped the most though was putting bread sacks over a pair of warm socks. I thought my feet would sweat more and I would be colder but that didn’t happen. My feet actually stayed warmer and I used bread sacks from that time on. I can’t wait to try out the mickey mouse boots this year.

So Right You are LOL!, I had an awful time trying to keep my feet warm, I tried all sorts of things till I got a pair of Sorel Glaciers, they were a little pricey for my finaces but well worth it! I have nice toasty feet all day now,But, They are Very slippery on the ice & After I bounced my bottom on the ice a few times[crazy]. I did have to get a pair of ice grippers for them.
