From Hwy I-680, near Sunol; turn W on Hwy 84 (Niles Canyon Rd.), go 2.8 mi. to parking lot, at streamside on S side of road.

Moderate gradient in narrow canyon surrounded by grassy, oak covered hills; rural area near city and major highways. East Bay Regional Park property access sites; some posted private property. Watch for fast traffic and poison oak.

Local fishing: Rainbows every other week, April through September.
