Five years ago during the summer of 2000, I happened to be fishing the Jordan in the Rose Park area past the Golf Course near the Redwood Road area around 1900 North? And boy, I thought I had a killer carp on it pulled so hard & fought like a shark…I pulled out a river otter/beaver..wasn’t quite sure what it was. I’m sure it was dead but acted a little alive, still jerking some. The fur was a very dark brown, looked to be about 3-4 ft in length & had a tail, but the tail didn’t look like a beaver’s. It was so heavy dragging it out of the water. Didn’t have a camera but did put it in garbage bags and took it home. Thought I’d dry the fur and maybe skin it. I work with fur & leather so I was kinda excited. But the smell of it by the time I got home was too much. I just threw it in the trash. A couple of months later was back over on the Jordan River Parkway near 1000 North walking my lab and saw what appeared to be the same type of animal swimming with some ducks. This time I didn’t get a look at the whole body or tail just the head. My point is that I probably wouldn’t eat anything I caught from there. Ya never know what’s all in there. I go to the Jordan when I’m fiening and don’t have a lot of time to take the boat out. BTW, Shrimpboy nice saying you got on the end of your post.

I have a sweet t-shirt with the same saying & a pic of a 'bow. Had the shirt for years and have never seen anyone else use the phrase or have it on a shirt or anything else. Seeing it at the end of your post made me chuckle. I thought about using it at the end of my posts…now I’ll have to come up with something else. That’s how it goes.
