TD you can count myself and the wife in as well as my brother-in-law and his wife. We’ll figure out something to bring for the pot luck. Hope you don’t mind if we bring our boats?
Boats are welcome…as long as you don’t water ski over me while I am fishing. Now, if your boat is being towed by a giant catfish, I will just get out of the way. Any craft being towed by large fish always has the right of way. If that ain’t the law, it should be.
The mrs and I will also be shorebound, unless I can dig up my dad’s old float tube he left me, (if it still inflates) so stop by and say hi, we drive a red grand am
There will be 3 from my work who will be shore bound and maybe tavis and his new son. They have options but betting the toons stay in the shop and he brings one of the boats.

I’m going to pry myself out of the horse world where I’ve been burried for most of the year and go find out what the rest of the world has been doing like FISHING!!! So count me in, I’ll bring something, just gotta check out the list of what’s coming in before commiting, if Uncle Ray is going to be in town I’ll drag him out also along with Dakota (she says Hi). Take care and hope the rest of the guys have had a good summer so far.
Excellent. Tell Dakota she can fish from horseback if she wants. UncleRay can fish from his tube if he doesn’t fall out.
I will be there at 5:30 AM shooting carp, so I’ll leave them in a bucket at the entrance to the south dike for anyone who needs one.

Hey everyone, would anyone feel up for a caravan down to the lake early that morning? I don’t know how many of us live in the same cities but I was wondering if the wife and I could follow some of you down there.
Just curious, if not then we’ll just use the map but I’ve never been to Lincoln beach before, only the boat harbors.
Tube Dude I was wondering what channel you will be on in the morning, We are hoping to be there between 6 and 7 A.M. I’ll be coming from Syracuse so I imagine it will take me 1 1/2 hrs or so. See you then.
Good question. Everybody should bring portable radios or walkie talkies.
**TubeBabe and I have tried lots of different channels. The previously adopted channel 12 seems to get lots of cross talk from kids in that area. We have usually done best on channel 8, so that is where we will start. **
If there are quite a few of us “on the air”, it is a good idea to announce yourself whenever you speak…“TubeDude here. Trying to reach TubeBabe.” Of course, she is usually busy fighting a fish and does not talk to me anyway.
Pat, I don’t have talkies, but have want to get some, any brand better than others without burning a hole in my pocket?
If you shop around (Sportsmans, Radio Shack, pawn shops, etc.) you can find adequate fishing units for under $50. TubeBabe and I just got a smokin’ deal on some higher end units (Cobra) at Sportsmans with an instant rebate deal. They have up to 12 mile range, if you register and use that frequency. They were about $70, with the discount. TubeBabe still won’t talk to me unless she is catching fish and I’m not. Then I turn HER off.

I’ll be there, probably with one grandchild. I will grab something from the store to contribute to the cause.

**Second, for those who want to caravan down, we can meet up at the Lowe’s Home Center on 4700 South, just west of I-15. The “bus” will leave at 6 AM. Stragglers will have to find their own way. Plan to be there about 5:45 for meetups, etc. We will be in the northwest corner of the lot, near the exit. **
