I wish it was as good as I made it sound. Only got one mudder last night. I put in four or five trips for one of the better fish to bite. But it’s fun when I get a chance at one. Starting to be mostly mudcats lately and they’re taking big carp chunks too. When the MCs are biting the channels don’t seem to be around. This next week should get better, at least I’m sure hoping so. If you come up let me know ill see if I can join you. I’ll try to get the boat licensed. Later J
[inline DSCN3349.JPG]On second thought maybe I’ll keep pounding these waters down here. managed to find a 28" today but that match my smallest.

and can you ok this bump board? not sure how well it will work but it will sure stop that pectoral fin problem I have with my home made one. if it doesn’t work I’ll use the old one.
Nice cat. Better than we did out there today. Between two of us 3 carp with the biggest being 13 inches. We should have stopped and said hi when we saw you parked there by the auto gate.
Nice job John, that’s a great fish!!! Hey on the bump board it’s probably camera angle, but at the ends the lengths don’t line up. You could put the tape right on the lines and take another picture because it’s probably good but the photo shows the Bb is making your fish bigger than it is. I know the camera can play tricks so I’m for sure open to a new picture. Let me know. Thanks Jeff
please do stop by and say hi next time. I always enjoy meeting fellow BFT members.
I’ll try and take another picture Jeff.
I will take another picture Jeff. Looks like the wind is going to make this a stay home day anyway
Ok sorry for the rework. Hope you can get out later on. Good luck J
Hey Jeff, have they put the dock out at the Benson boat ramp yet ? Last year it was almost June before they got it out in the water.
Another nice cat John. I sure wouldn’t mind landing one that size to get on the board with. Went out on Willard yesterday. Cloudy, fairly calm till later in the afternoon, water temp 51 to 52. Several boats working the north marina for Crappie. Wife and I chalked up our first WB skunk with more to come, I’m sure.[sly]
Forest sorry I haven’t been down to the marina lately, I’ll have to check and let ya know… Been bank tangling so far, so I haven’t gotten the boat licensed, but will do that soon… They may wait for the run off to peak before they put the ramps in, so they don’t float off… or else they are just slow like me… Anyway I’ll try to take a look tonight… Let me know when you come up and I’ll try and see if I’m available… Later Jeff
Sorry Forest didn’t make it down last night, too much wind and cold, so I worked on the garden instead… I’ll see if I can check tonight… Later J
[inline DSCN3356.JPG]Took a couple more pictures Jeff. I studied them both they show me losing a 1/8 to a 1/4 inch after 19 inches. It’s a two piece thing that slides down for easy storage. I wouldn’t be gaining any inches and I could live with a 1/4 less reading. but you be the boss your call

boy I’m dumb. I’ll just stick to fishing and leave the math stuff to you Jeff. I know how to fish all the number stuff clogs my brain. I see now that the end half of the board is shorter which would make for a false reading. guess thats why it was cheap
Forest the docks are not in yet. Still on the bank. Sorry J
No worries if it wasn’t a contest with bragging rights at stake it would be fine. Not much biting tonight. One 20"er. Later J
nice day to be out. lots of fisherpeople on the river today. I hook a 26"er.

It was tough finding for me today, got a 16 & 18"er is all for me today. It was sure a nice day though. J
Hey SkunkedAgain,
I was wondering if you could approve the fish measure I bought for the contest. I wanted to make sure it was legal before I catch a 30” + kitty ![]()
That looks great, use it and catch one as long as it is. Good luck. J
