There’s contact information on the very first post for people that want to volunteer that are non BFT members.
Yesterday we received more volunteers then in the last two weeks. THANK YOU!!!
But we still need more captains! Currently there are only enough boats to accommodate 56 of the 90 vets signed up. Please keep them coming!

Hand in Hand Outdoors/The American Heroes Project will have two if not all three of our chair accessible pontoons at the event. I will PM more information.

Trevor,
It might be helpful if you post the numbers on how many boats you actually have signed up and how many Veterans we can accommodate in those boats. Also, should you decide to do that, could you also do so over on KFF and UWN as an add on to my posts over there?
If you’re not registered on those sites, let me know and I’ll gladly post the information over there.
At the bottom of my very first post is an attached Excel spreadsheet that shows the number of boats registered and number of veterans able to be accommodated. Currently we have 90 veterans from the VA Hospital signed up but we always get additional veterans that drive up themselves. At this time we have accommodations for 86 veterans.
I’m not a member of the other two sides so if you’d like you’re more than welcome to post the spreadsheet there. Thanks for your assistance!
Did & done on the other two sites Trevor.
I haven’t been feeling too great, so I don’t want to really commit to bringing my boat up. But I took 2 vets out last year and it was a great time. I’ll be there Saturday if I possibly can.
Just signed up our 40th boat that will accommodate the 90 vets signed up to participate in this years event. ![]()
Way to go team BFT!!! ![]()
Thank you so much to everyone for supporting this event. Everything is coming together nicely and we are really looking forward to this Saturday, even the weather forecast is looking great. (Shhhh)
Trevor, I’d like to thank you so much for all your help over the years and for taking the boater registration off my plate so I could focus on the rest of the planning and logistics. You really helped me out alot!
Neither of us do it for the recognition but I do appreciate the kind words. As long as you’re there, I’ll be with you buddy. God bless the Vets, God bless BFT, God bless all of the individuals that come out to help with this great event and God bless America. Thanks to everyone of you! [:)]
